The thrusters can be used to flip and rotate the vehicle in the air, although it is somewhat sluggish to do so. Holding down both pedals will apply power to both regardless if the Moonlander is airborne or not.

When airborne, the brake and gas pedals apply thrust (😳) to the rear and front thrusters respectively. It works best on more technical stages such as Boot Camp, Arena, or Ragnarok due to these features, but is less recommended for more standard stages like the Highway as its fuel efficiency isn't too good unless highly upgraded. Its thrusters allow for flying over obstacles or rough terrain, and its extremely high tire grip and power make it good for regular hill climbing as well.

The Moonlander's appearance is a combination of a multitude of real and fictional rover vehicles, such as the arm that is also featured on several of the real-world Mars rovers, however it also takes inspiration from the Lunar Roving Vehicle due to being a manned vehicle.
